glo creates work that requires action, fearlessness, and a boundless capacity for connection. glo practice is deeply rooted in, and reflective of, her Southern identity and culture. It is an affirmation that beloved community is formed not by the eradication of difference but by the acceptance of each of us claiming who we are and how we move in the world. Drawing from the humanity of living, and landscape, our choreography manifests as a dance of curved lines that echo the environments surrounding us. In glo‘s choreography mapping, dance implies modes of embodiment and engagement, where domains of animal, land, and human overlap with each other. Our work makes it possible for us to imagine the South in ways that invoke a more explicit and sensory experience. Always, always, glo projects and initiatives are entirely free and public.
March on Variations! is made possible with major support from Fulton County Community Services Fund.
