glo LAB studies: Pedagogy of Hope: Summer
July 6, 2021 - July 17, 2021
We are delighted to return to our LAB following a pause in 2020.
Thinking critically means thinking which perceives reality as process, as transformation–thinking which does not separate itself from action. . .the important thing is the continuing transformation of reality.

LAB Studies: Pedagogy of Hope
Summer session: July 5-17, 2021
Winter session: Jan 3-15, 2022
glo invites you into Pedagogy of Hope, our LAB studies education program that directly invests in teaching and learning movement and music to Georgia Indigenous, Black, Brown, and marginalized young artists. Movement-music curricular tools of glo’s LAB studies respond to several frameworks for culturally sustaining pedagogy, including respecting youth as holistic human beings as well as developing critical consciousness and addressing intersectionality, dynamics of power, privilege, oppression, and solidarity with artists. Along with a daily dance and music vocabulary, participants will be immersed in aspects of glo’s mapping practice, for the creation and distribution of original Pocket Maps of Hope.
