SUMMARY:Community Sowing: 17th Street Prairie
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the power of regeneration! Join us at 17th Street Prairie every Sunday from 5pm-8pm ( *6.18 4-7pm) for Community Sowing as we officially open cycle III. 17th Street Prairie\, glo and Jaimie Dewberry’s prairie in the middle of the city\, invites community to join and feed our consciousness through the art of community mapping\, and enacting social duties related to place\, the body\, and environment.\n\nWe are delighted to welcome friends and community members to have a participatory role in reactivating the third incarnation of this land Art work. 17th Street Prairie is located at the north side of 17th Street and along both Peachtree Streets in Midtown. Local kombucha and group pat downs will be served!\n\nCommunity Sowing #5\nSunday July 9\n5pm-8pm\nthrough July 16\n17th Street\, Midtown\n\nQuestions? info@gloatl.org\n\n\n_ \nIn Spring 2020\, glo and the Dewberry Foundation transformed Midtown Atlanta’s dormant lot into a 2.5 acre wildflower prairie. The glo platform’s approach to Land Art is the same as our choreographic thinking- a hybridity of forms emphasizing interconnectedness\, solidarity networks\, and art making as a care system.
