SUMMARY:Open Rehearsal: Making Kin
DESCRIPTION:As summer settles in\, join us in Goodson at the Goat Farm on Saturday\, July 18 at 3 PM for attunement scores and collectives.\n\nMaking Kin is a commissioned series of public art works opening this August through October\,  inviting us to observe how we resemble\, influence\, and attune to one-another. Named for Donna Haraway’s 2016 book Making Kin in the Chthulucene\, earth (chthulu) and new kind (cene) is the act of not being able to think of ourselves as disconnected from the rest of life on earth. It’s also referred to as “staying with the trouble\,” as used by Georgia warrior John Lewis. \nSaturday\, July 18 at 3 PM at the Goat Farm we’re pleased to to invite you to an open rehearsal in collaboration with our creative partners Monique Osorio and Kebbi Williams\, each offering distinct instincts and research as sites to extend from the past to create a portal to new embodied perspectives.\n\nSave the dates\, more details coming soon. We look forward to being present together.
