The Blooming City officially launches again! As we continue bending into 2025, we’re reflecting on an incredible first year generating a new art project with the beautiful, beautiful Palmetto community – a year of collaboration, creativity, and growth. Thank you to all the inspiring fellow artists and community leaders who made project space for art, activism, and relations.

HEIRLOOM SEED PACKETS: We’re excited to announce glo’s 1st generation free seeds collected from last year’s wildflower prairies will be distributed at Palmetto City Hall, 509 Toombs Street,  for Valentine’s Day, this Friday, 10 AM – 5 PM. Packets available at the walk-up counter, or drive -in! Seeds are open pollinated, hardy, incredibly low maintenance, and thrive in South Fulton County, delighting every gardener! Our seed packets feel like treasures in the palm of your hand.  Like artists, seeds bring us beauty, meaning and joy. These seed packets create a greater context for the seeds inside each pack, and The Blooming City year 2!

For this year’s The Blooming City, we’re amplifying “compositing”: the folds, the rhythms, the warmth that form the basis of our interconnectedness within a complex, multispecies world. From the labors of movement, to the murmurs of history, composting shapes our understanding of humanities, environment, and the transformation we seek today.

The Blooming City 2024 lays the foundation. 2025 is all about expanding our attention, and possibilities for transformation.
