gestures that soon will disappear
suite of small interventions
A suite of physical installations heightening the importance of human interaction with objects and pushing the ritual of relational actions to the forefront of a physically driven experience of dance, sculpture and storytelling in four Historic neighborhoods around Atlanta. Exploring our body as a possibility for everything, the grace and nuance of the humble material paper, and elements of public participation, gestures that soon will disappear grapples with the perceptions of art and objects in public space vs. museum institutions, what in an object survives and what is lost.
gestures that soon will disappear is supported in part, with major support from City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Romantic Body is supported, in part, by the City of Roswell-ROAR. Artists’ space support from Wren’s Nest. This project is made possible through an Artists’ Residency at The Goat Farm Arts Center.
