Project Description

the room for tender choreographies

MUSEUM RESIDENCY

A show and meditation on choreography at the intersection of what is social, political, timely, and sincere. Throughout the 8-week experience the gallery space is constructed as an archive site, performance venue, working studio, and classroom. The moving artists of glo, gloLAB, volunteer GUILD, and community, will occupy MOCA GA daily, during all museum open hours.

Read writer Cynthia Perry’s article here.

This show connects to previous public art projects of glo at no charge. A series of free and public happenings offer the museum the opportunity to extend public hours into intimate, nighttime, get down time. Created for MOCA GA’s largest white box, the show is all temporary and remarkable.

glo founding artist Lauri Stallings is a 2017 Working Artist Fellow at MOCA GA, curated by Rene’ Morales, Guest Curator, and Curator, Perez Art Museum  Miami, Florida. This project is supported by a Working Arist Project Fellow Grant, with support from the Charles Loridans Foundation.
