Kande’ Magassa

Moving Artist

Kande’ Magassa is a Paris – based artist who folds into the moving artist team in 2025 as part of i came to explore the sun, of something more permanent, the moves are maps intervention series at Marais de Bonnefont marsh reserve.

She began her performance career in 2016, working with Gaëlle Gillieron for the pieces Slip pickings, Nocturne, Daivas and the ongoing project Mécanique de l’invisible, as well as for Le Collectif (La) Horde on the project The Master’s Tools, Smaïl Kanouté on the piece Yasuke Kurosan, and Le Collectif Page 55 under Cécile Lassonde on the piece Inside the Box.

In 2017, Kande’ began the research works Sans titre #1 and Sans titre #2. These lead me to a choreographic writing at the crossroads of stage performances, and installations with the creation of simple devices structuring the space. In 2020, Kande’joined The Choreographers Incubator of La Fabrique de la Danse (Paris), founded Cie Sin-jì and created the solo dance project Agapē. Her work explores notions of emancipation and body states in specific social and spatial settings.

Kande’ graduated from the Ecole d’Art et de Design de Reims, France. Kande’ danced for Herman Diephuis and Fanny de Chaillé. I trained in contemporary dance at CND-Pantin with Trisha Bauman, Maria Donata D’Urso and Bruno Danjoux. In 2015, she joined The vocational trainee for dancers under Dominique Lesdema in Paris and continued her training with masterclasses with Hofesh Shechter (LDN), Sita Ostheimer (BCN), Marie Chouinard (MTL).
