Laila Rosen
Moving Artist
Laila Rosen is a movement based performance artist. After an upbringing in classical dance, she received her contemporary training from the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and Nuova Of ficina Della Danza in Torino, Italy. She received her BFA in Dance from New York University, Tisch School Of The Arts where she began to develop her own choreographic work through multidisciplinary collaboration as well as working with choreographers Yin Yue, Dwight Rhoden, and Courtney Mazeika. Upon graduation, she has been in creation with choreographers Emilie Leriche, Astrid Boons, lauri stallings, Sommer Ulrickson & Klaus Guth, Susannah Yugler, and Sound Artist/Mechanical Engineer Mischa Langley. She is currently a moving artist with glo, and freelances as a movement artist, creative collaborator, and researcher within the performance arts.
She has been a guest resident artist with Delicatoni, hosted by Casa Degli Artisti in Milan, danced in music videos “Proiettili”, directed by Niccolo Bassetto with Island Records, for music artist Iako, “Dark Blue”, directed by Olivia De Camps, for band Panik Flower, performed for designer Mara Peralta in KRATER’s New York Fashion Week show, and performed in the world premiere of Opera “Doppelganger” at The Park Avenue Armory. Currently, she performs and works closely with sound artist Maxi Glenn. Their work has been presented through Fridman Gallery, Atlas Theatre, INTIMA, Momenta, and Kaleidoscope Gallery, and featured in Office Magazine and Decal Magazine. She is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
